Meet lorna morrison

Lorna joined Forward & Thinking at the beginning of April as our Media Planning Assistant. Our dedicated team of media planners have a wealth of industry knowledge, creating omni-channel media campaigns that engage and convert.

We spoke with Lorna about her first few weeks at Forward & Thinking and this is what she had to say.

What inspired you to pursue the career you have today?

I have always had an interest in marketing. My previous roles have been in marketing for small businesses, and I felt now was the right time to move into agency work so that I can continue to learn and develop my skills.

What attracted you to your new role at Forward & Thinking?     

I was initially attracted to this role because of the responsibilities listed on the job advert. I felt that skills I gained from previous experience were suited to this role and when I came across the Forward & Thinking website and saw that their values aligned with my own, I knew I had to apply.

What social media platform can you not live without?  

Right now, it’s probably TikTok. It’s just too easy to keep scrolling through.

Which celebrity, past or present, would you invite as a dinner guest?

I’d say Lewis Capaldi, I think he would be a fun dinner guest.

What’s your favourite movie?

I love a 90s/00s Chick Flick so anything along the lines of 10 things I hate about you and 13 going on 30.

In your opinion, what’s your most valuable skill? 

I’m a determined person, I like to set myself goals and push myself to achieve them.

What stands out to you about Forward & Thinking?

I really like Forward & Thinking’s values. I appreciate how much they put into the well-being of their employees and how they support great local causes.

What was it like meeting the team?  

Everybody has been so welcoming, and I am looking forward to getting to know everyone.

Outside of work, what are your hobbies and interests?

I have a camper van so enjoy going for weekends away with my partner and our dog. I also enjoy spending time with my family and friends, baking and vinyl crafts.

What are you most excited about for your new role at Forward & Thinking?  

I am most excited to keep developing my skills, to continue learning from my team and to put everything they have been teaching me into action.
