For the “Through the Eyes of”- series, we have asked our team to tell us a bit how they experienced working at Forward And Thinking, how they have developed and what they think of the agency. We can tell you so much about how amazing the team is, but we thought it’s better to hear it from themselves!
Name: Molly Thompson
Job Title: Digital Marketing Executive
Why do you like working at Forward And Thinking?
I like working at Forward And Thinking because I am always encouraged to develop my knowledge and skills through training and workshops, allowing me to better myself and learn new things. It’s really nice that my manager encourages this and really cares about helping with my development, always showing me ways in which I can be continuously improving myself and the way I carry out my role.
I also love how supportive and encouraging the whole team is, it’s really motivating and inspiring to have the team praise you and support you through your development and acknowledge when you’ve done a great job. We also do fun team building activities like Friday night Zoom drinks at the moment as we’re working from home, but previously we’ve done activities like go karting and attending the Yurt Bar Christmas party, activities like this definitely bring us closer together and made me feel like a part of the team from the get go.
I also love how fast paced my role is and the fact that no two days are ever the same, keeping me on my toes and keeping things interesting.
What has been your greatest achievement?
I would say my greatest achievement so far has been passing all my Google exams first time with some pretty high scores, and also recently passing my 6-month probation period.
Have you learnt a lot whilst being at Forward And Thinking? What Training / development have you enjoyed the most?
I have received a lot of training whilst being at Forward And Thinking. Not just training me on the role in the beginning but I’ve had training throughout my time here. This includes all of the digital platforms that we use for clients and optimising campaigns. This is something that I was really keen on. Being at the beginning of my career, and something I expressed an interest in from day one at my initial interview. So that fact that this was taken on board and implemented shows how valued our opinions are.
I enjoyed my training on Google Search adverts the most as this was an area I had less experience in prior to joining Forward And Thinking. So it’s great to see how I’ve improved from having little knowledge about this platform to now carrying out these campaigns from beginning to end, including planning year long search campaigns, creating adverts, optimising, and analysing results.
What exams have you passed (please include pass rate if you know them)

- Search Exam – 94%
- Video Exam – 98%
- Analytics Exam – 82%
Tell us about your team?
The digital team consists of myself and Matt the Digital Marketing Manager. Having a small team means that we’re always pretty busy and no two days are the same. It also means that I get to have a lot of one on one training and workshops to improve my skills. I get loads of help and support in my role which is really great.
Tell us about a recent project you worked on or a nice encounter you had with a co-worker.
I recently received some feedback from a member of the sales team, Darren. He mentioned that the recent quality of some of my mid-campaign updates and post-campaign analysis presentations was excellent. This was really nice to hear. I had been working to try and make them even more valuable to our clients. I explained the steps we have taken to optimise their campaign and improve their results. It was great to see that this had been recognised in my work.
Explain Forward And Thinking in three words?
Supportive, honest, and passionate.
Thanks, Molly – we’re chuffed to bits to hear this and, of course, ever so amazed by your exam results! Keep going, Mol!
